As the heart of new energy vehicles, EV batteries have become an important driving force to achieve global carbon neutrality and promote the comprehensive electrification. Over the years, CATL has been committed to improving the safety, performance and extreme manufacturing capability of battery through continuous innovation.

The award-winning project has achieved significant breakthroughs in three key technologies--high energy density materials, high level of safety, and large-scale high-quality manufacturing. In terms of high energy density materials, the energy density of the cell reached 308Wh/kg, leading the industry globally. In terms of high level of safety, supported by inventions such as sub-micron metal-polymer composite current collector, air-operated auto power off safety top cover, and the technology of separating high temperature dust from high-voltage network, CATL has built a comprehensive, effective battery safety system. Meanwhile, CATL's PPB (parts-per-billion) level large-scale manufacturing process and equipment technology has achieved a single-line efficiency of over 10GWh/year, far exceeding the international standard.

Through continuous innovation on battery technology, CATL will work with upstream and downstream partners to promote the rapid development of the global new energy industry.
