CATL and TZCO Enter into Ten-year Strategic Partnership

On October 8th 2024, CATL entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (TZCO) in Taiyuan, north China’s Shanxi Province. 

The agreement specifies that TZCO will select CATL as the preferred partner of power batteries for its construction machinery products, and CATL will provide TZCO with competitive power battery products and service guarantees. Both sides will join hands to make progress in product and marketing, in a bid to greatly drive the electrification of the industry. Moreover, the two sides will increase collaboration in the sectors of energy storage and battery swapping, while proactively exploring new cooperation models in different ways by making full use of their respective advantages. 

As the first enterprise specializing in the manufacture of heavy machinery that was independently designed and constructed upon the founding the People’s Republic of China, TZCO ranks among the 500 largest industrial enterprises in the country, with its products ranging from industrial cranes, mining excavators, construction hydraulic excavators to high-end hydraulic pumps and valves. TZCO’s products are well received in more than 70 countries and regions around the world and widely applied in the fields of metallurgy, mining, hydropower, thermal power, nuclear power, energy, and transportation, among others. The next decade will bring forth the close cooperation between CATL and TZCO in boosting the green development of Shanxi Province by leveraging CATL‘s strengths in technology and product.
